Today I made this kite.
Having cut it to shape, I then attached what will become the tail and the main stay.

Once the glue had set, I then removed the excess at the top of the kite and added the cross brace.
I added the remains of the broken line, and then painted it. Explanation of the broken line follows.
It now sits caught up on one of the telephone cables, oops!
